Business Development Specialist
The business development specialist will leverage their experience to develop, maintain and expand business relationships with strategically important industry segments and key multi-location target accounts; working at the corporate level to develop a strategy for industry and account penetration, resulting in the achievement of sales and profit objectives and building market share. The business development specialist represents the entire range of OMAX solutions and services, leads the business planning process and leverages all necessary internal resources to execute plans and ensure that assigned industries and account needs and expectations are met. This position reports to our VP of Marketing.
Customer Service Technician
Provide detailed technical support as required to OMAX customers including but not limited to troubleshooting equipment problems, drawing issues, and complex mechanical/functionality questions regarding OMAX equipment. Requires a minimum of 2 years in a technical support, engineering or technician position and a 2 year technical school degree or greater. Please note that this position requires more than retail customer service experience and does not involve networks, servers or any other IT related tasks.
Production Assembler (Electrical/Mechanical)
Apply comprehensive mechanical/electrical skills in the assembly of standard mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical equipment systems. This includes interpretation of bill of materials, blueprints, pneumatic and hydraulic as well as electrical schematics. Requires knowledge in routing wires, assembles and installing low voltage electrical and electronic components, such as circuit boards, communication (CAT5) and power cables, terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument panels, according to specifications, using hand tools, and other equipment. Vocational or accredited certification within the electrical/mechanical field is preferred. Must have 3-5 years of advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience with an original equipment manufacturer, furnish own tools, routinely lift 75 lbs. and work overtime as needed.
Field Service Technician - (Southern California)
Install new machines and provide post-installation support services at customer locations world-wide (Road-warrior travel). Must have a 2-year technical school degree or equivalent, 3 years previous experience as a field service technician, a current passport and driver’s license, excellent mechanical and electrical control system aptitude, and the ability to routinely lift 75 pounds. The qualified candidate for this position will live within a one-hour driving radius (with traffic) to an international airport in the San Diego, California region.

As the Material Handler Lead at OMAX, you will have an important role in helping our team deliver exceptional customer service. By participating in and leading the work of others related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering materials, equipment and supplies, you will help ensure that our machines get out the door on time and in pristine condition. You will provide daily oversight and leadership of the department’s processes and resources while working with independence in carrying out duties with limited supervision. This position reports to our Warehouse supervisor.
Senior Electrical Engineer
OMAX Corporation has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate experienced in Electrical Engineering and interested in putting his/her skills to work as a Senior Electrical Engineer. The selected candidate will work closely with our engineers, designers and drafters to develop and integrate new OMAX product lines, as well as improve and maintain existing product lines. This is a fast pace environment requiring someone eager to contribute innovative solutions with a passion, directly impacting the history of waterjet technology. The Senior Electrical Engineer works with minimal supervision and may be called upon to lead project development team activities as well as mentor aspiring junior level designers. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering group manager and is part of our Product Engineering team.
Software Engineer – Motion Control
Working with a team of passionate, talented experts, the selected candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing EtherCAT motion control and I/O systems; as well as developing and maintaining software control systems for the entire OMAX product line. This is a fast pace environment requiring someone eager to contribute innovative solutions that will directly impact the history of waterjet technology.
