Regular preventive maintenance will ensure years of trouble-free waterjet operation. Like any other piece of machinery, the pumps, high-pressure lines, swivels and belts inside your abrasive waterjet need some extra attention from time to time to keep everything in optimal working order. If you have the know-how, equipment and additional man hours, this routine maintenance can be done in-house. But if you prefer to stay focused on growing your business, you can call in the professionals to conduct your regular service in the quickest, most OMAX-approved way possible by subscribing to the OMAX Service Program.

OMAX SERVICE PROGRAMS

Major Pump Rebuild

OMAX offers two levels of preventative maintenance programs for major pump rebuilds.

  • Level 1
  • Complete Pump Rebuild Service Visit (8 hrs on site)
  • Level 2
  • Complete Pump Rebuild Service Visit (8 hrs on site)
  • Second Service Visit (8 hrs on site)

Quarterly Service Each Year

  • Four separate scheduled visits of eight hours each
  • Two OMAX or MAXIEM major pump rebuild kits
  • One annual table inspection and laser calibration

  • Cantilevel service
  • Inspect ball screws and traction drives
  • Replace all belts
  • Replace all filters
  • Grease or oil all lubrication points
  • Rebuild the OMAX pump (incl. one major rebuild kit)
  • Inspection of the plungers
  • Inspect/rebuild all swivels using swivel rebuild kits
  • Table inspection, re-adjust if necessary
  • Check and reset pressure settings

  • Bridge Service
  • Inspect ball screws and traction drives
  • Replace all servo belts
  • Replace all filters
  • Grease or oil all lubrication points
  • Rebuild the OMAX or MAXIEM pump (incl. one major rebuild kit)
  • Inspection of the plungers
  • Inspect/rebuild all swivels using swivel rebuild kits
  • Table inspection and laser calibration, re-adjust if necessary
  • Check and reset pressure settings

When necessary, the Annual Service Program may include an update to the latest version of OMAX’s software so long as the update will not interfere with your current workflow. Likewise, our service FSTs will only conduct laser table alignment when all other calibration efforts fail to completely restore your machine’s performance.

Depending on the configuration of your waterjet (including the number of cutting heads and pumps), you may need more than one service program subscription for full coverage. Two hours of local travel per day are included with every service program subscription, with further technical travel billed as an additional cost.
